Mr. E. Yeboah Boateng is a Lecturer at the Department of Basic Sciences, School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. He is a trained mathematician, statistician, accountant and a financial engineer.
EDUCATION
He graduated with a first class in B.Sc. Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and went on to pursue a Master of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He has a partly completed Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, (Parts I&II), ACCA, U.K., qualification.
WORK EXPERINCE
Mr. Yeboah Boateng currently teaches quantitative oriented courses such as Research Methods, Biostatistics and Quantitative Literacy at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. Prior to his appointment, he was a Senior Tutor at the College of Distant Education, University of Cape Coast. He has also lectured at the Actuarial Science Department, Catholic University College of Ghana and also worked as a Tutor at the Institute of Distance Learning, University of Ghana, Legon. Also, he worked at the Ministry of Education where he served as the Regional Administrative and Finance Officer of the Non Formal Education Division in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. He has worked with the Ghana Statistical Service on a lot of research projects including the 2010 Population and Housing Census, the 2014/2015 Integrated Business Establishment Survey among others.
SCIENCE/RESEARCH OUTPUT
Mr. Yeboah Boateng’s research interest is in mathematical and statistical modeling of infectious and non-infectious diseases, healthcare financing, assessing the impact of the various policy interventions in the health sector and credit risk analysis. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals.
