Mr. Justice Wiston Amstrong Jonathan (Analytical Chemist) is a lecturer of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana. Prior to his appointment as lecturer, he was a Senior Chemistry and Integrated Science Tutor at University Practice Senior High School, Cape Coast and also Cape Workers’ College.
EDUCATION
He had his education at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where he obtained B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (1999), Master of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry (2011) and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2014). He is currently on a PhD Programme on part-time basis.
WORK EXPERIENCE
He taught Chemistry and Integrated Science as a Graduate Teacher at University Practice Senior High School for 14 years. During this period, he served in various capacities as Head of Science, Mathematics and Physical Education Department, a Member of the School Management Committee, Disciplinary Committee and some Special Committees set in the school to deal with special issues. He also taught Integrated Science at Cape Coast Workers’ College for 13 years. Since his appointment as lecturer, he has been teaching Chemistry and Physics at School of Nursing and Midwifery as well as in the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences. In addition to his core duty as a lecturer, he is also actively engaged in research and community activities.
SCIENCE/ RESEARCH OUTPUT
Mr. Jonathan’s area (s) of research interest are human health, environmental exposure, toxicology and pollution. He has four publications in peer-review journals.
