Dr. Joana Kwabena-Adade is a Lecturer at Department of General and Liberal of School of Basic Studies and Biomedical Sciences Board, University of Health and Allied Sciences, where she teaches Sociology. She is a Departmental Representative on the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences Board.
EDUCATION
She obtained her bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees from the School of Social Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Before joining UHAS, she was a Gender and Development tutor at the School of Continuing and Distance Learning Education, College of Education, University of Ghana and a Research Committee Member for the Centre of Ageing Studies, University of Ghana, Legon. Prior to her life in academia, she worked in the corporate world as a market researcher planning, implementing and managing research projects of varying sizes and complexities on products and services for a number of local and international clients.
RESEARCH OUTPUT
Her academic research interests and publication focuses on issues related to ageing, medical sociology, population and development, and demographic studies.
