Mr. Joy Ato Nyarko is an Assistant Lecturer in Department of General and Liberal Studies, Basic and Biomedical Sciences of University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana where he teaches Sociology.
Education
He holds an MPhil in Sociology and Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Social Work from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. Currently, Mr Nyarko is a PhD student in Sociology from the same university.
Work experience
Prior to his appointment Mr. Nyarko served as a graduate demonstrator for two consecutive years in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He also served as a teaching and research assistant in the same department.
Mr Nyarko was a part-time lecturer with Garden City University College and Christ Apostolic University College, all in Kumasi, Ghana.
Science/Research output
Joy Ato Nyarko has research interest in adolescent and child health, social uses of medicines and the interface of culture and health. He has some publications and conference papers to his credit. He is also an active member of the Ghana Sociological and Anthropological Association (GSAA).
