Frempong Acheampong is a lecturer in the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. He is a Medical Physicist, specializing in medical imaging and non-ionizing radiation.
EDUCATION
Frempong obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, as well as an MPhil in Medical Physics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
WORK EXPERIENCED
He has been teaching Physics in the University for the past 3 years, examining students in courses like General and Applied Physics, Biomechanics, and Electrophysics. Frempong has been an examiner (Physics Practical Examination) with the West African Examination Council for the past five years.
SCIENCE AND RESEARCH OUTPUT
Frempong’s research area is in medical imaging and radiation. He has one paper, which is under review and it dwells on MRI lumbar spine studies at the 37 Military hospital. He another publication in the area of heavy metal concentration, which is based on an analysis of soil samples taken from the Suame industrial enclave in Kumasi
