Running Grants Driving Research and Innovation in the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences
Between 2024 and 2026, the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences continues to implement a diverse portfolio of externally funded projects that advance scientific discovery, strengthen laboratory capacity, promote gender equity in STEM, and support community-based innovation. These grants reflect strong international and local partnerships aimed at addressing pressing public health and development challenges in Ghana and beyond.
1. Sandfly-Associated Pathogens and Their Vectors in Ghana, West Africa
Purpose: Reduce the incidence of leishmaniasis through ecological and public health research.

2. Reducing Gender Segregation in STEM Subjects in Ghana: High School-Based Intervention
