Biomedical Sciences

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is one of three departments of the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences. It is an interdisciplinary department founded from the inception of the University. The mission of the department is to become a world-class centre of excellence for training and research that will provide relevant and timely solutions in the life and health sciences. The Department has faculty with a plethora of expertise in the biomedical sciences. The Department equips students in the theoretical and practical aspects of biomedical sciences and produces graduates who are well suited in research laboratories, clinical laboratories, regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical and health industries as well as academia.
