The Department also runs postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Sciences (MSc, MPhil and PhD). The first year of the postgraduate programmes is dedicated to taught courses, whereas the research aspect starts from the second year onwards. The postgraduate programme in Biomedical Sciences has five (5) tracks: Microbiology, Genetics and Evolutionary Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Immunological Sciences and a General track.
